Hi Theresa - Yes, it would be great if you asked your store to start carrying the Vanilla Snackimals. That usually is a good way to help us get our products on the shelves by showing the consumer demand for a particular item. If you want to let me know your favorite stores and their location, I can see if our Sales force can call on the store. Thanks. -Jen

Barbara's - I am big fan of your Vanilla Snackimals and Peanut Butter Puffins; both are staples in my pantry. I eat a bit if each every day - I have no problem locating the cereal in my local markets, but am hard-pressed to find the 7.5 oz reclosable bags of Vanilla snackimals. Perhaps I need to work with the folks who purchase product in my favorite markets to get these yummy items readily available! Any suggestions?

Please keep my favorites coming and I look forward to more yummy goodies from my now go to breakfast and snack food supplier.

Okay I am a believer! A co-worker was raving about your Snackimals and brought me in some to sample. OMG! These things are delicious and I can tell very addictive - meaning DANGER for me....I will eat the entire bag! I normally think that organic or all natural means - cardboard, no flavor. You have proven me wrong. A fan now for life.

Hi Carley - I believe you have posted before about the vanilla snackimals and I can still say that the change is absolutely in process. Issue is that we are a smaller company so changing the packaging and recipe do take a fair amount of time. That said, are working through the packaging and the new ingredients for the recipe have been ordered. If you would like to be on our email update list for the implemenation of the change, please email me at jramst@weetabixna.com and I can add you to keep you apprised of progress. We did not change the Wheatines or the salt level of application. If you can pass along the date code of the product you have that would be helpful in our review with Quality Control. We have pulled several date codes for review in the office and did not experience a high salt level so it is very helpful if you can provide additional details for us to research. Thank you. -Jen

Okay..believing Jen is for real and the vanilla snackimals will one day reappear in all their original glory and purity..no thanks to Barbara's powers that be that decided to change the perfectly fine recipe to begin with; and only because of one devoted employee in their midst are they doing a positive change.
AND now we're getting complaints from way too many customers and members that the Barbara's Wheatine crackers don't taste the same and appear to be highly over-salted!
When I tried some myself from a fresh delivery..they were very different crackers than before. An unfortunately bad batch? Happens.
Or another genius change in recipe?
These are much too salty and just when the national health advisors are demanding less sodium in all of our diets..hmmm..thank goodness there are more true, natural food product providers than ever before so dependency on a former standard bearer is no longer necessary.
Good thing barbara's is still attracting the weekend natural foodists cause they're gonna lose the people that built their little empire.

I believe we are in communication with someone on your contact list..or atleast he thinks he is as he has passed along information throughout our network of stores and cooperatives whenever he has received any updates from you.
When asked recently what's going on he let us know he hadn't heard anything from you in a long while nor come across any updates concerning the advancement of this process.

Despite the accolades and warm fuzzies bestowed on Barbara's Bakery in this forum, what is not being registered is the growing disappointment with this break down in trust for the product line.

Yes, there are still some products selling well at our stores and those are basically the crackers and puffins, etc. without the additional sugar added.
The frustration comes not from the people who are tip toeing into better food products step by step but from those multitudes of us who are keenly aware of the source of products as well as the results from products in our foods.
Whether life long healthful and conscientious consumers or those starting their children out on this path.
We do appreciate your energy in restoring this one small product's reduced sugar content out of your company's apparent diminishing concern generally.

Hi Carley - It is not a hoax. Yes, it has been months as we had to revise and re-print our packaging to move on to the next phase. We have implemented all the changes, I have approved the recipe change, and now I am working with production to produce. It looks like we should have this shipping very soon. If you have not notified us yet of your concern, I would be happy to add you to my email database where I have been updating concerned consumers as to status via email. In fact, I was planning to send an update this week as we are getting close. If you would like to be added to the list, please email me directly at jramst@weetabixna.com. I understand the frustration and I am doing all I can to get back to our recipe without cane juice. -Jen

I figured it was going to be a corporation-sized hoax when it was said in this forum the vanilla snackimals would be cleansed of the additional sugar content.
Promises, promises and not action...Months and months have passed.
I guess as long as most of the writers here heap their praise on Barabara's we'll not see the return of the quality vanilla snackimals again..no matter what Jen tells us..
